OUR CURRICULUM

Our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to support every child as they grow, learn and develop. Across our Acorns, Seedlings and Oaks rooms, we follow the three I’s - Intent, Implementation and Impact - to ensure learning is purposeful, engaging and tailored to each child’s individual needs and interests. From building secure relationships and developing communication, to fostering independence, confidence, curiosity and resilience, we provide a nurturing environment where every child can thrive and feel ready for their next steps.

ACORNS - under 1's

Intent:
For our youngest Tots to thrive, settle and learn in their new environment.

Implementation:
Ensuring a strong key person system is in place to allow children to make strong bonds ensuring they have the confidence they need to play, learn and grow. Ensure that staff know and understand the needs of all children. Provide appropriate challenge to encourage the children to develop at their own pace.

Children are comfortable and prepared to transition to the next room.

Help children to understand their feelings and emotions by validating them, labelling them and including stories based on feelings and emotions in their everyday learning. Create an environment where children feel safe to express themselves and share how they feel.

Impact:
Children are kind and respectful of others and begin to have empathy for their peers. They understand that their feelings are valid and accepted and they can be themselves within the setting.
