OZ TOTS CURRICULUM

All curriculum at OZ Tots has been formulated with your child's well being, happiness, development and growth in mind, whilst keeping in line with the EYFS guidelines.

COMMUNICATION & LANGUAGE

The communication and language sections of the curriculum focus on speaking and listening, paying attention and demonstrating understanding. These are carried out through storytime, developmental playtime and encouraged socialising and interact

PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT

The physical development activities at OZ Tots promote movement, coordination, negotiating space and handling equipment. Our holistic approach encompasses all of these skills in a safe and fun environment.

EXPRESSIVE ARTS & DESIGN

All OZ Tots are encouraged to use a choice range of resources and tools as a means of expressing their own ideas and feelings. We promote expressive arts with our on site material which includes paint, glue, crayons as well as many recycled and natural products- all of which promote exploration of colours, textures, shapes and skills. Expressive art activities involve OZ Tots participating both individually and as part of a group.

LITERACY & MATHEMATICS

OZ Tots develops numerical and literacy skills through the means of games, songs, problem solving tasks. Littles ones will identify shapes, participate in sequencing and counting activities as well as using equipment such as books to calculate simple mathematical situations.

UNDERSTANDING THE WORLD

Through the use of our on site and outdoor equipment, little ones are encouraged to explore and experiment with different materials and objects. They will learn to observe, share, participate, differentiate and problem solve.

SOCIAL & EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT

We actively promote and encourage your tot to form relationships, demonstrate their feelings, socialise and to manage feelings.
